Alan Finch, Gridless Router Pioneer, Passes Away

Don't know how many of you remember Alan Finch, who worked at Racal-Redac and later Zuken for years, and who was the lead author on the groundbreaking paper explaining the shape-based router. He died on Sunday in England.

That's the second titan of the industry to die this year. Gene Marsh, the founder of Pads, died in May.
